Interactive fun has never been so educational. The Centre of Light offers a suite of interactive learning resources written and designed specifically to motivate young people to learn through the power of football. Each activity has direct links to the National Curriculum. The menu of 18 interactive activities helps you to select the learning experience that best suits your Curriculum delivery requirements.

Combine an access-all-areas stadium tour with the best in interactive learning and you can begin to imagine the motivational benefits for young people when they spend a day at the Centre of Light.

Back to school and you can continue to use the power of football to motivate learning. There are 30 lesson plans to download and use in the region’s classrooms when you log on to www.SAFCeducation.com 

 
The Centre of Light will be open six days a week and aims to:
  • Provide informal and formal learning opportunities
  • Continue to assist current educational provision through direct links to the national curriculum
  • Engage the hardest to reach young people into learning
  • Attract family learners
  • Expand the provision of  education programmes to deliver youth work related activities
  • Offer in depth and measurable programmes that make an impact on young people's lives
  • Raise football standards across the north of England which includes the development and training of local people in coaching and football related topics
  • Work with local providers to meet regional targets
